Practical questions

When am I charged?

Immediately on joining, then on the same date each month. Your renewal date and payment history are always visible in your dashboard.

Can I switch tiers later?

Yes. Studio members can move up to Atelier whenever a seat is free, and Atelier members can step back to Studio without losing course access.

What happens if I cancel?

You keep full access until the end of the period you’ve already paid for, then your membership simply stops. No cancellation fee, no phone call — two clicks in your dashboard.

Why is Atelier limited to 30 students?

Because a personal recorded critique every month and a direct line for questions cannot be scaled without becoming worthless. Thirty is the number Scott can do properly.

Do I keep the courses if I leave?

Membership is access-based: courses, critiques and assignments are available while your membership is active. Anything you have downloaded or drawn is of course yours to keep.

Is checkout secure?

Payments are handled by Paddle, which acts as merchant of record and handles tax. Character Art School never sees or stores your card details.
