Each tone is a real halftone field, not a photograph of one. The density in the filename is the actual measured ink coverage — a 20% tone covers twenty per cent of the area, accurate to about half a per cent. That matters, because tone values are how you control the greys on a black-and-white page.
Reducing the opacity of a halftone turns crisp dots into grey mush and defeats the entire point. To change the value, swap to a different density file. That is why there are 24 of them.
Dot tones come at both 45 and 27.5 degrees, the two traditional screen angles, so you can put them on adjacent areas without moire.
Focus lines with a clear centre so your character stays readable. Speed lines including a version with a clean band through the middle. Impact bursts for the moment something lands. All vector-drawn, so they stay sharp at any size.
