Lettering is the part of a comic most people rush, and readers notice. This pack gives you five original lettering fonts I made for exactly that job: three for dialogue and two for sound effects.
They’re shaped with pen-nib contrast, so the downstrokes are a touch heavier than the cross-strokes, the way lettering done by hand looks. Every letter also has a second drawing, and the fonts swap between the two as you type, so doubled letters in words like LOOK or AAARGH never look copy-pasted.
Comic lettering uses a crossbar I (the one with little bars top and bottom) only for the word ‘I’ on its own. These fonts do that for you. Kerning is measured from the actual letter shapes, so pairs like AV, TA and LY sit snug. There’s nothing to switch on: type in capitals as normal in Photoshop, Clip Studio, Procreate, Affinity or InDesign.
Letter comics, manga, webtoons, covers and merch you sell, in print or online, with no extra fee however many copies you sell. Embedding them in your PDFs and ebooks is fine, and the WOFF2 webfonts are there for your own website or webcomic site.
The fonts are all caps, as balloon lettering is. Accented letters aren’t included in this version.
